Creative Fabric Buttons

5D Embroidery Software
Create your own one of a kind textile buttons using a variety of shapes.
Shown are oval shapes embroidered using 40wt Embroidery Rayon thread
However, you can create any shape you choose to include square, circles, etc.
Any size. You have to love embroidery software.

Each strip of fabric was simply stitched together for experimentation. Shown from
right to left are silk, cotton print, 5D Sketched and embellished silk, machine
embroidered denim, yarn couched silk, and candlewicking on black silk.

Created using surface embellishment fabric, Insul-Bright needle punched insulating material, and of course a backing fabric.
Choose a hoop that is designed for thicker fabrics. Perhaps a quilting or textured hoop.

Stitch your two centre eyelets bringing your eyelet from our stitching program in your embroidery mode. Use your cutwork needle to cut them out. Program your cutwork
needle stitching around each button using your wonderful software. No need to use scissors. I was so excited about making them
I had to stop to share this with you.  :)

I will be sharing more. I will be sure to incorporate these into my future sewing projects with garments, quilting, and home decorating projects.

The fabric selection is a little on the wild side. I have an experimentation box full of trial and error pieces.

That is what is wonderful about keeping everything important.

This can be done using a satin stitch and drawing or tracing shapes using a template
if your machine does not have embroidery capability. Cut out each button using an 11.4cm  Curved Embroidery Scissor.

Inspira 11.4cm curved embroidery scissor worked great.
